Carbon Rigid Stabilizer Plates Insoles, Full Length
Stabilizer / Insole Plates to Limit Fore-Foot, Metatarsal Joints & Turf Toe
1 Pair
Carbon 2mm Medical Grade
Used to stiffen the sole of the shoe.
Limits Range of Motion of the Forefoot and Midfoot.
Makes shoe Non-Flexible.
Extremely thin carbon stabilizer plate insole, 1/8" thick.
Comfortable and durable felt top cover.
Our carbon insole rigid plates are constructed to Limit Dorsiflexion at the metatarsal joints.
Immobilizes toe joint to prevent it from bending during walking and sports.
Indications of the Carbon Insoles- Full Stabilizer Plates
- Problems requiring a Rigid or Semi-Rigid foot bed
- Turf Toe
- Hallux Limitus / Hallux Rigidus
- Forefoot Pain
- Metatarsalgia
- Cuboid Syndrome
- Freiburg's Infraction
- Bunionectomy
- Foot Stability Post-op
- Shin Splints
- Stress Fractures
- Toe Fractures

Stress Fractures Treated with Carbon Steel Stabilizer Plate Insoles
To treat stress metatarsal fractures, the forefoot should be immobile. What a steel or carbon stabilizer plate insole does is stiffen the shoe. This allows the metatarsal stress fracture to be immobilized. This reduces the range of motion of the forefoot. It also limits the dorsiflexion of the metatarsal joint which prevents the toe range of motion. The more limiting range of motion, the faster the healing time of the stress fracture.
Toe and stress fractures are a common and painful medical condition easily treated with carbon or steel stabilizer plates. Toe and stress fractures are usually treated with a cast, splint or an open toe surgery shoe.
Carbon or Steel Stabilizer plate insoles are either manufactured from 3 mm medical grade carbon fiber or steel. They are thin and rigid. The turfliner steel or carbon plate is placed in a casual/gym shoe. For proper placement, the shoe’s existing insole should be removed or placed under the insole. It all depends on the shoe’s fit.
Atlas Biomechanics manufacturers three types of stabilizer plate insoles.
- Full-Length Spring Steel Stabilizer Plate
- Half Length Spring Steel Stabilizer Plate
- Carbon Stabilizer Plate
