What is the Best Corn Pad for the Little Toe?

Painful Corns on the little toe is a common complaint among patients. A frequent question is what shape of corn pad is the best for the little toe. A circle shaped toe pad would be the best to cushion and treat painful 5th toe corns.

Little toe corns are usually caused by shoe friction against the 5th proximal phalanx head. To eliminate the shoe pressure against the little toe a corn pad would be beneficial. There are many shapes of toe pads that can be used. Most are either too large or bulky. If the toe corn cushion is too large, it will cause more pressure on the toe and the patient will have difficulty wearing shoes, especially with high heel shoes.

Ring shaped donut toe corn pads are only 3/4" wide. They also can be easily trimmed for a custom fit. Many patient trim the circle corn cushions in half. This will make the toe cushion into a half moon shape for even more customization.

Circle shaped corn pads come in medical grade felt or foam and have an adhesive backing. They come in 1/8" thick.

So the best corn pad for the little toe and for high heel shoes would be the ring donut circle shaped toe pads.
